De Mirach, néhány buszmegállóra tőled, és elszalasztasz egy ilyen lehetőséget? :) Talán emlékszel, ősszel írtam, hogy a natális intenzivitást akkor érdeklődés hiányában elhalasztották. Úgy látszik, már a kemény mag sem vevő arra, hogy meghallgassa, mit gondol a születési asztrológiáról valaki, aki a kérdőasztrológiát a tévékamerák előtt művelve lett sztár. Bocs, de miután egy-két éve követem az angol nyelvű fórumokat és levlistákat, kezd csömöröm lenni a Frawley-kultusztól. Ha Budapesten tartana előadást akkor is nagyon barátságos árúnak kellene lennie,hogy elmenjek rá. Úgy tudom, Tárnokiék szeretnék meghívni ismét, azt azonban nem tudom, mennyire vannak rajta a ügyön. Tárnoki maga is panaszkodott rá, hogy nem lehet vele vitatkozni, nem érvel, inkább kitér. A tanítványai bálványozzák meggyőzpdésük hogy Lilly ne egy,hanem a legkiválóbb asztrológus volt, aki eltér a Keresztény Asztrológiában foglaltaktól, az tudatlan vagy értetlen...
Az sem tetszik, amikor valaki arról ad elő, hogyan alkalmazzunk kérdőasztrológiában bevált technikákat születésiképletekre.

Note that this type "inconsistency" is not exclusive of this method, it is implicit in both the conventional Alchabitius and the Koch method, but in both cases it is ignored. However, what he does not say is that the "Ascendant Parallel Circle" method of Dutch astrologers does not ignore it, and it is the only house system that is logically and mathematically consistent in this respect, resulting in asymmetrical houses.
Abenragel explains how to calculate the house cusps in Book IV (LIBRO QUARTO), folios 146 a-b-c, pages 174 and 175 of the 1954 edition.

This is the edition from which I had taken notes back in 1980-81 when I was a student at the University of California in Santa Barbara. It was published in 1954 by the Real Academia de la Lengua Española, and I think it is one of the seven wonders of Astrology, it is also a great source for the history of astrological ideas, astrological terminology, and the history of the Spanish language. Reading it in the old Castillian is a beautiful literary and astrological experience, it is like reading the astrological arab-hispanic equivalent of Don Quixote of La Mancha.
The translation includes only the first 5 chapters, while the entire book has 8 chapters. A new edition was published in Spain in 2000 which included the remaining parts re-translated from the Latin translation (Libri de judiciis astrorum), but it was made by astrologers for the purpose of using it as a manual and did not contain technical, historical, or astronomical annotations.
However, Gerold Hilty, the editor of the 1954 edition, resurrected and in February 2006 published books 6-8 also from the Castillian translation. He used newly found manuscripts from different sources which added together produced the remaining missing chapters:

My main interest for the moment, is Abenragel's description of how to calculate the house cusps. We discussed this here 3 years ago, but at the time I didn't have the original source and depended on unconfirmed and confusing assertions by others. The Abenragel method is included among the Riyal house system options.
Abenragel's method to find the cusps is important because it is the so-called "Alchabitius declination method" as opposed to the "Alchabitius semiarc" method. These are both erroneously defined and/or formulated in some of the popular sites used by many astrologers today. A good source, however, is the explanation of Rüdiger Plantiko in his preliminary version of "On Dividing the Sky" (2004):

Before going into how Abenragel explains this method (actually, in the text it is just an algorithm), let's see what Plantiko has to say about it:

In his "Eight Books on Astrology", Haly Abenragel (about 1050) describes an extension of the method of Alcabitius: Like Alcabitius, he divides the quadrants formed by Meridian and Horizon on the parallel circle of the Ascendant into twelve pieces. But the transfer of the division points to the Ecliptic is afforded by the uniquely defined position circles passing through the division points.
Although even Regiomontanus mentions Abenragel as using position circles (in problem 22 of his tabulae directionum), the method of Abenragel has been forgotten in the course of the time, and was re-invented in our times by the Dutch "Workcommunity of astrologers", founded by the Th. J. J. Ram (1884-1961), Thierens and Leo Knegt. Ram called it the "Ascendant-Parallel-Circle system". Thanks to this group, the Abenragel house method is still alive in modern Dutch astrology.

This is confusing because the "ascendant parallel circle" is simply the diurnal circle of the ascendant (i.e. its semiarc), which is what conventional Alchabitius divides. The difference according to Plantiko is in the way it is divided, the "uniquely defined position circles", but he doesn't explain how those are defined. He includes a diagram but I don't understand it.
The position circles used by Regiomontanus are great circles that pass through the north and south points of the horizon, so presumably the difference between the 2 Alchabitius variants is that the conventional version divides the diurnal circle of the Ascendant by means of meridians, while Abenragel divides it by means of position or "house" circles like those used by Regiomontanus and Campanus. Whether this is so or not is unclear from Plantiko's text.

The associated mundane position can be determined for an arbitrary point of the sphere as follows: Find the position circle passing through this point, and intersect it with the parallel circle of the Ascendant. The mundane position can now be determined from the proportion in which the intersection point divides the quadrant between the next intersection points of the parallel circle with Meridian and Horizon.

How are we going to find this position circle if he has not explained how it is "uniquely defined"? I will just assume that it is the same concept used by Regiomontanus, but then why is Plantiko saying that the Abenragel position circles are "uniquely defined"?

Leszedtem. Olyasféle helyre tedd föl, mint tar.hu vagy valami (holtbiztos, hogy a tarnál jobb is van, csak jobb van...), aztán az ikonok között az olló és a földgömbök között van a képbeszúrás ikonja, arra kattints, majd a megjelnő ablakban a hivatkozás rovatba másold a kép linkjét. De hanem kell attól tartani, hogy hamar eltűik a kép onnan, ahol találtad, egyszerűen a ép linkje is jó, nem kell föltenni sehová.
